Gothic Lolita: Alice

i once did a 12-shot photograph of me in a loligoth dress, doing the american mcgee's "alice" thing and throwing big-ass cards at the camera. this is one of the middle frames, done over in a mildly anime-ish form. i hand-drew her using my tablet laptop, johnny, in paint shop pro. the trees and logs and bits of wood are pieces from pictures i took at the camp i work at every summer (except this summer, because i've got a paying job now... , the grass is a picture tube i made out of a few grass pictures i took, and the "rabbit hole" i believe i just googled (i'm trying to relocate it so i can give it proper credit). i had several layers for the girl. one that was about 95% opacity of the original frame, the next over that was about 70% opacity with slight screen and dodge blend modes. on the drawing layer i experimented with the following effects: 3D vertical cylinder, lacquer (bet that surprised ya, huh? ^^; ), glass (aagh, double-ua-shock-uu!!), and ink outlining (ooh, a new one!). i started the original drawing about 2 years ago, but now i am done with it. i may not like it completely, doesn't matter, i give it up to the ages (for now at least, because we all know i never truly finish with anything).
