What an infectious smile this man had. Here's a quick one of Bill Withers. Younger generation probably remember him most, if at all from the song "Lean On Me." It was the title song for the movie of the same title, but written by Bill, long before it. He was a Songwriter, and performer. No, a great songwriter, and performer. He's no longer teathered to the earth, but his songs remain in many of our hearts, and minds. "Lovely Day," "The Same Love That Made Me Laugh, Makes Me Cry," etc.,etc., and my favorite "Who Is He, and What is He To You?" He's talking to his lady, and it's obvious there's a connection between she, and a man he saw staring him down, then when he hears her clear her throat and turns to look at her, she immediately looks down at the ground. Such a great "telling a story" song. You might not remember him or know him, but now you have an idea of what he accomplished. I'll do a better one of him sometime.
