Artist Reply: Yeah, turkey vultures weren't dealt the best hand when it comes to looks. But they are intelligent birds and make a colorful photo. This poor bird here was not only ugly in life but taxidermied and put behind glass... which is why the color looks a little off towards the back of his head.
