Ever circled in a commercial jet over a big city at night, tired but happily looking forward to an adventure? Ever drove on a lonely highway for 12 hours, and - long after nightfall - passed a hill and suddenly, down there, still far away but quite incredibly lighting up the sky: Los Angeles? Those are the moments I remember when I loose myself in the depths of this large painting.
