Self-Portrait1

This is an example of my mid-seventies psychological' approach to portraiture. ;) This is a ball-point pen drawing on 9 by 12 inch sketchpad paper. It's an early example of Original Jones Art from Austin, Texas.

Fascinating work Charles...you have as many eyes as I do! lol

Artist Reply: Yes, I've always liked adding eyes to my pieces, Mark. I'm working on a piece now where the eye is the single largest element in the composition. :)

You Are Beautiful!

Artist Reply: Maybe I need to do a close-up self-portrait again of the old psychosis-ridden self and see what I get, Annette. ;)

:-) the beast in a man. I always think about the wolf inside me and done my half face with wolf once but scared many people so decided not to put it any where but thats true that every human have a beast inside and it copmes out only when we face some thing different than the normal. Great work!

One word.........WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Rebecca. I thought it would be interesting to show folks some of my earlier work. I didn't want you to think I started normal and then got weird. That would be so misleading. ;)

DUDE......I GLAD YOU DON'T WAKE UP NEXT TO ME..........................!

Artist Reply: Chuckle! Yeah, luckily this isn't a realistic self-portrait or I would have been flat out of luck, eh? ;)
