There Was A Quality In His Face

This drawing is from 1977. Its full title is "There Was A Quality In His Face That Left One Puzzled For Adjectives." It is an 8 1/2 by 11 inch Bic pen drawing. As you can see, time has warmed the hues a bit. An early example of Original Jones Art still coming at you from Austin, Texas.

Fabulous abstract, a feast for the imagination. There is so much fascinating imagery to project aspects of our psyche. I love work that allows the viewer to interpret what the artist creates by projecting his psychic imagery. The world can be seen as a huge Rorscachp; my abstract visuals usually appear to me in the bark of trees and other aspects of nature. Great details with fascinating texture.

Interesting. Lots of life there to explore - and not only adjectives. :-). great work with ink and pencils.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Titta, for your comment. I'll have to upload some of my 'Invagination' series from this era. I used it in lieu of 'etchings,' if you get my meaning. ;) And this is all done with the lowly ballpoint pen.
