The vase is incrediblilly well rendered with great depth and feeling of weight conveyed. I LOVE the background...my favorite part! Go figure.

That's really a lovely painting, Anneke! The impasto technique you have used for the bouquet offers a nice contrast with the vase, whose depth is so delicately rendered.
