Twilight at Eagle Ranch, Colorado

65"X 78" Mostly fabric & thread with lots of other stuff thrown in. This was custom sewn for the home of a Colorado architect and the main panel features the view from his living room window. Other panels echo the Craftsman sytle of his home.

Amazing art I see here, Elizabeth!

Artist Reply: "How hard can it be?" I kept asking myself as I sewed this... my first quilt, believe it or not. It took a month (it also has a backside which is about the holidays - the client can reverse the quilt from time to time).

so increadable and charming yet explosive and mellow, with all this interwoven into a fantastic composition of the quilt. well done. this is great Elizabeth

Artist Reply: I worked out the basic design on EQuilt5... a computer program... with details to be filled in as I worked. Using this program I was able to email design to the client who emailed back his comments and suggestions which guided my design process... like the barns at the bottom were his idea. It was fun to create something meaningful and beautiful for him & his wife.
Artist Reply: Thank you for the very detailed comment! "Explosive and mellow" wow... who knew they could even be in the same sentence!!
