derelict railway carriage with ferns

this is a photograph that has been manipulated digitally. i just set out to take a series of pictures of old and derelict machinery. dereliction holds a fascination for me. the causes and effects. what makes something valued one day and not the next? this image is of a railroad/railway carriage door. the carriage was being used as a store outside and through decay had allowed ferns and ivy to grow up through the floor. at first the ferns were lush and green but after a while, they too died and somehow matched their hitherto 'greenhouse'.

I love decaying things too! Maybe why I'm with my partner? LOL! How the devil are you Evelyn?
