The original was painted on a lid for a wooden box and it is a one-of-a-kind piece. It measures 10 1/4"length x 6" width x 5/8" height and it has a "lip" to fit snuggly on top of the bottom part. The bottom part of the box measures 9" length x 5" width x 4" height and it is painted with antique white swirls. It has been sealed with a waterbased varnish. This is a nice little keepsake box for small personal treasures or it can be used as a recipe box.
