This is the same mother and baby in my painting "Face To Face". An amusing aspect of posing them was the fact that the baby was wearing a pampers diaper, which isn't exactly very artistic looking. So, off it came and here is the result. Even though the mom in the painting never mentioned it, another mother, upon seeing the finished painting, told me that she would never lay with with a naked baby. When I asked why, thinking she would say something about the bare bottom, I was suprised when she replied, "because babies 'GO' unannounced", and that certainly would be a problem for mom! Hey, what's a bachelor know anyway about such things, right?
