This is a drawing I did a little bit ago. It's 18 by 24 inches and was done in chalk and charcoal. Overall, I think it turned out good. I like the face and the positioning of everything. Looking back on it now though..I probably should have put something in the background to bring out the face more and I think it might have made the drawing more complete but it's to late now. What's done is done. With that said..I'm happy with the outcome of this drawing just as it is. It's been a lesson for me. I've learned from it and am moving forward. Thanks for looking.

Hey David,great picture.I think you did the right thing keeping the background simple as you can focus more on the face.Great work!!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Randy, it's been a while since I've heard from you. I'm not sure about the background. Sometimes I look at it and think I did the right thing by leaving it the way it is..but then sometimes I kick myself for not attempting to put something back there and see how it could've turned out. I'm 50/50 on whether or not it should have had a background. Thanks for your comments Randy.
