VODOU A LA VAN SANT Since 1999 my work has been influenced by Haitian Vodou, especially the use of the libation bottle. These vessels, which are placed on altars, represent offerings to the spirit gods, and can also be looked at as a source of power to the individual that possesses one. With some of my bottles a ritual is involved. Most of the time it includes putting personal things inside the bottle. I hope these wrapped and filled bottles and trinkets have "thought-provoking" powers.
