Olga, I'm as curious as you are about the technique and materials used. It looks like there's a lot of texture; the door actually 'shines.' Great work.
Artist Reply: Thank you all for your kind words. I was away and being new here didn't realize I was going to get so many responses. I do use a lot of different materials. For instance, the floor has pieces of actual sea glass that a friend gave me - behind the gated window, I used images from World News Today ( because they are funny) and the door is first covered in plastic and then painted over. I use a lot of glitter, sand, pencils, magic markers and the fan is made out of an old piece of tablecloth and then painted and the man's pants I first covered in cheesecloth and then paint.
