High Altitude Sauropods

Majestic images of temperate-bearing sauropods roam a high basalt plateau. When I was a child, I would dream of walking through fields of grazing 30 tonne herbivores, and listen to them speak to one another through the eons of imagination. When I look at this peice I have mixed emotions. One could view the herd in anticipation of their arrival, or in sorrow of their departure into the great beyond. This painting personifies everything I love about dinosaurs and the mysteries we will never solve about them, no matter how long we search for answers. Dinosaurs are not just animals who used to be, they are the essence of evolutionary success.
