I can imagine the sunset that is beginning behind the boy. Your work is very beautiful and inspiring!
Artist Reply: Hey, there, Michele! Thanks for stopping by and reviewing 'Sand Writing'---it's funny--I remember sketching this out and working furiously fast to get the sunlight---it sank in what seemed like seconds. :) Hope your day goes wonderful! -Kerra

Artist Reply: Anna--thanks so much for reviewing my work. :) The light here was fun to try and capture--painting plein air with little ones as the main focus is a challenge--they never stop moving! LOL Hope your day goes great. :) -Kerra
Very skillfull use of watercolors Kerra. I know this is a difficult medium because there can be no mistakes. You have created a masterpiece:
You achieved the perception of depth.
You used colors expertly.
Everything is balanced and well-planned out.
There is no evidence of any mistakes.
The image brings back memories of childhood and
is very mesmerizing!
Great job!
Artist Reply: Wow. David, I just don't know what to say to this. I feel so complimented I'm, well, almost unresponsive here. LOL Thanks for the smile--one never knows what a kind word can do. :) -Kerra
Artist Reply: Rita--thanks so much for the nice comment. :) This was an unusual piece for me as the size is about twice what I usually work with, (a full sized watercolor sheet). Wasn't sure how the final effect came off--so thanks again! -Kerra
Artist Reply: Hey, there, Emily! :) Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment on my little 'Sand Writer', (which, btw, was one of the biggest watercolors I've worked on--what a change!). I saw your beautiful boat one that you framed--beautiful! -Kerra
Kerra, excellent watercolor. Great brush work and composition. Wonderful work. Miguel
Artist Reply: Miquel--thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave me feedback on this piece. What a doozy to 'pull this one off' as the size was a major challenge, (full sized sheet of watercolor paper), and I usually break my full sheets down into four or six sections. :) Hope your day goes great! -Kerra
Artist Reply: Cynthia--thanks so much for reviewing my work! This is one of my larger pieces and pulling it together proved to be a great new experience. Hope your day goes fantastic! :) -Kerra
