This is a small drawing using gel ink. I find its fluidity coupled with its permanence a great medium. You notice the facial expression is more numb than joyous and then there's that downhill slope. Original Jones Art from Austin, Texas.
Very unusual work; it has a medaeval feel to it, reminiscent of certain stained glass windows, [the old saints always looked sad, don't you think?perhaps because even then the pace of life {or, death} was too fast for them?], maybe we too would be somewhat happier if we were able to slow down a little. :)
