My first "en plein air" work of 2007! It was such a warm day that i went to the sea with my sketch block. The sketch is the one in sanguine you can see in zoomed up version. Later at home i used it for this pastel work. Somehow i still like the sketch better though :) Conte pastels on green Canson MiTenintes paper. About 25*35 cm.

I agree with Mayme, I like both but the sketch has a certain vitality not quite captured in the studio version. Get out there with your pastels!!! Looks like 2007 is going to be a good one for you!Mayme Crouse 12 Jan 2007
