Cotton Candy Clouds

This is a place I return too time and time again. With each visit I see and try to capture the new view in this beloved and familiar place. Strangely though I have never painted at this spot. Other views of this place entitled Late Afternoon, and The Classic English Landscape can also be seen in my portfolio.

What a beautiful scenic photograph! The composition is wonderful- & I agree w/Mary's comments,it looks both serene and moody.... the deep shadows and the way the fluffy clouds are hovering over give it mystique. Nice reflections on the water's surface.

John, there is clearly something about this place that draws you to it. It's a beautiful place, that's for sure, but perhaps you haven't done it because you fear that it won't hold the same mystique for you, if you do decide to paint it. Maybe the day will come when you feel you have to do it, and when you do, I know with your skills, and talent, it will be a brilliant piece. Your photo is brilliant!

if i had a place such as this, perhaps i would never leave it.. this is the photo dreams are made from! i will certainly look in your gallery for a stroll through classic English landscapes.. You have quite an eye for classical "lovely" settings. i like the title as well: the clouds are as candy...
