wow, Mary this is a an excellent start at a water color. your moving your color around very well. I see you using wet on wet. the texture is great. jamie
what a wonderful first attempt at a medium which has scared me off completely. you are bold! i would add more contrast and color to the right side of the painting - it should balance itself out.
This is really good Mary....I have yet to attempt Watercolor.....must try it soon...I have used it some to mix with my acrylics, and I have used the watercolor pencils, wet and dry....but I always go back to acrylic...Vey nice painting!
Watercolor is one of the hardest art forms to capture. This is a fine first attempt. Just keep trying and you will advance quickly. Plein air painting is a lot of fun if you are not working at much detail. Have a Happy New Year.
An unforgiving medium that will ultimately surprise and impress you... nice work.. looks much better than my first watercolor... keep up the good work~
