Princess and the Pea ACEO

I'm still just practicing watercolors. I'm too cautious, still. And too caught up in the safety of coloring within lines. Still, must start somewhere.

What a beautifully sweet image---love the looseness! -Kerra

Artist Reply: Thanks, Kerra! I'm happy with bits of it, and not other bits -- easier to see on the monitor as that's larger than the original (ACEO size). So it's really great to get your feedback!

This is a lovely watercolour Kirsten.. I like your style and the colours you've used.. hehe.. don't forget, we're our own worst critic..:-)

Artist Reply: Thanks, Terry. And yeah, our own worst critic; I hope my critiques are such that I can keep figuring out/growing from them! Then I could be my own best critic too *grin*

Fine use of watercolor in this work.

Artist Reply: Thanks! I still feel pretty awkward with it...or that I just don't understand the colors of shadows. It's lovely to get feedback.

You could use this as an illu for a children's book Ever heard of at wwwDOTluluDOTcom, get an ISBN # and voila, You can create your own book! (The DOT you've to replace for a real . But AW doesn't allow you to write down an web-site!--- GOOD LUCK!--

Artist Reply: Thanks! I don't have a story to go with this, though... I had not heard of lulu.com, though now I've gone to check it out. Nice idea; like cafepress.com for writers! If our current project doesn't pan out with more traditional publishers, I'll point the author this way. Thank you!
