Dangerous Bridge

©Seth F.Weaver,Sr.10/10/06 Acrylic on canvas board. I was inspired by the "Covered Bridge" I did in my Mixed Media Gallery. I tried to paint a spooky old dilapidated bridge that was dangerous to cross or even get near it. A bridge with a bad feeling about it. This is the wrong time of year to be puting a painting like this in my portfolio! I hope you all like it. Seth

love the texture, detail, color and shimmering light

Very nice. Excellent job of reflecting the color on the bridge.

What a great spooky and foreboding effect you've created here, Seth. I love how you've handled the reflected lights on the roof. The fact that the door is boarded up yet there appears to be lights inside adds another element of mystery. Again I'll say how much I like your portrayals of trees.. You've really created a place that I would not to be near on a dark night. Well done and hope you sold it or will sell it for a BUNDLE!!

Artist Reply: Dear Sally, thank you sooooooo much for this comment. This is one of my favorite paintings. Totally from my imagination. The light from the window could be from the hole in the roof or could it? Bob Ross on PBS has shown me a lot of tricks for doing trees. Thanks again!
