Painted in soft earth ochre colours this is an unusual interpretation of natures own trompe loeil. The mirage effect itself is loosely painted to shimmer in gold paint. A shimmering Oasis, then maybe only a trick of the light? Accent has been used on the sand by adding burnt umber and then a light glaze of gold acrylic has been applied to add a faint sparkle to the desert.
