General Nathan Forrest is shown her against the backdrop of a Southern forest. He was a famous Confederate cavalry officer. This portrait was commissioned by a fan of his, Stephen Henthorne. I hope he likes my more modern interpretation.

You are so bold in your work and I admire that. The big hand on the hilt of the sword is a great way to speak of the power of this general and the color of his face brings death to mind.
