Amber Acer is a contemporary oil painting with applied gold leaf. The background to the work is an earthy and rusty orange ochre. Texture and interest has been added by use of hatched brush strokes. Two layers of imitation gold leaf have been applied to represent the leaves. The painting is on a deep box canvas with gallery wrapped sides which are painted in the same colour as the amber background, so the picture is ready to hang on arrival. Size approximately 50 cm wide by 46 cm tall, 4.5cm (19.75 wide 18 tall, 1.5 deep)
