The Margay (felis weidi) is a small wild cat, not very well known, but very beautiful. It climbs trees with ease and is therefore mostly arboreal. I did this in soft pastel on black pastel paper. SOLD
This is an amazing pastel! Your work is wonderful and a 10 in my book.
Artist Reply: Well thankyou for those very kind words Sylvia and I am so glad you like it. I love all the spotted cats and think they are very beautiful which makes me want to draw them. More will be on the way in time. Thanks again Sylvia.

Hi Maureen! Sue Evans here. I once again find myself trying to find words to describe my thoughts and feelings about one of your inspired works. Remember I said that no one judges a work of art - the work of art judges the viewer. I find myself inadequate once more. The work that you do doesn't seem possible - to me - to actually do with pastels. All I know of them is how impossibly messy they are and how easy it is to terminally mess up with them. This Margay - a species I've never heard of, by the way - is so gorgeous. The eyes ... The blue and shadow balance of the other eye ... I don't think there's a bush dense enough to hide the light of your pictures. You were always going to succeed in my opinion.
Artist Reply: Ruth he would probably bite you! He is very beautiful though eh? I love spotted cats.Thnakyou so much for the feedback I really appreciate it.
