This pen & ink drawing was inspired from my admiration of traditional Japanese woodblock prints. In this simple black & white composition I hoped to convey a bit of the spirit of a romantic bygone era when lords and ladies went about in their beautiful flowing hand embroidered robes and silks...

Kathy I really love your pen and ink style, the linear lines and patterns flow like a Satriani solo, the detail is precise and the composition is fantastic, this is a great piece the tree looks really impressive and at the bottom under the silk I love the black inside with the white flowers , the lines in this drawing are precise and technical but flowing and linear so it's not very mechanical, this is a great piece Kathy well done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Jeremy Murray 13 Nov 2006
