Absolutely Magnificent Job.CRACKLING GOOD!. OUTSTANDING!
Artist Reply: I love your enthusiastic comment, John! This painting is one of my favourites, as it was one of the first trees I painted and still remember what a hard time I had on it. It's so much fun to walk through my own gallery with you, thank you so much my friend!

Beautifully balanced artwork ! Beautiful light and shade ! I love the cross of shadow in the middle of the bark ?
Artist Reply: They are shadows of branches above, it's strange, isn't it? Thanks Sigridur!

You have managed a 3D look to this by coming forward with the limbs! Excellent work- great visual- almost an optical illusion with the depth you created!
Artist Reply: Wow, thank you for these wonderful words! :)

As a literal tree artist, one who has done several hundred and of course see 100 times more done by others, you have done what most 99.999 percent of artists don't do - the limb coming toward you. Almost every tree painting you see, rarely do you ever see a limb coming in the direction of the viewer. It's like the electric company has come through and sawed limbs away so all you have are the limbs going from side to side but not toward you. I also find your backgrounds on many of your paintings are a solid color. By this, only your subject has your complete attention. You demand the viewer to focus on it - to see it. Very fine, work, Milady. A great artistic bow to you. Stefan
Artist Reply: I feel really honoured by your words, Stefan. Thank you very much, you are the master tree painter!

This is a nice composition, just the tree with the green background. We can tell you have pictured a particular tree, not just the idea of a tree. That gives the painting some personality and feeling. Nice shadows as well.
