The Thunderbird Diner

The diner can trace its history back to the lunch wagons of the late 1800s. City ordinances prompted some lunch wagon owners to convert streetcars into semi-permanent locations. Diner popularity continued to grow, peaking in the 1950s. With the coming of the fast food restaurant diners started to disappear until a resurgence began in the 1970s.
