Pathways and Waterways

This contemporary painting provides a slightly more traditional approach to the subject matter. The painting has been built up relying less on washes, and more on impasto techniques. This is another of my 'spare paint' pieces, where I use the left over paint from each session- I never know what colour will go on next, but I have to use it!
