The Red Rhino - Art Palette

This is an art palette I designed for working in oils. It's made of 1/4" Birch. The design looked like the shape of a Rhino...hence the Name, "The Red Rhino." This spacious palette is designed for comfort and reduces fatigue. The bottom contours around your body giving support and a comfortable feel and hold. The thumb hole is cut to exact length for added comfort and can be adjusted, upon request for those with long...or shorter arms. The wrist and hand are straight, alleviating aches and fatigue in fingers, hand, wrist and elbow. The entire palette, when laying across the arm is completely balanced helping to distribute the palette's weight over the whole arm, instead of just at the wrist. The front "nose" of the palette not only offers balance but adds a useful area to hold additional paint. The wood is sanded to a smooth finish and the edges are rounded adding additional comfort. It is then stained with a mahogany color and 4 layers of tung oil are then applied. There are two sizes: 15" x 20" and 18" x 25" **Orders taken upon request, to the Artist**
