SPRAYPAINTED SMILE - vehicle transformation

This is one of the spraypainted vehicle transformations I did for a church located in a crime ridden part of Los Angeles. Pastor Edward Robinson and his wife contacted me to assist them in developing a visual focus and logo for a community outreach center they had started. I met with them, developed the concepts, and would travel there daily and go through various channels in order to basically set up shop and paint. I wanted to portray a series of brilliant, resplendant innocent smiling children... in order to add color and life (even though I painted them in grey values) to this hurting community. Many orphans, abused children and teenage pregnant young ladies were counseled, served, prayed for and aided through these unselfish humanitarian and necessary African American efforts. Rev. Robinson and his active congregation were pleased with the final results. H Rios (213) 435-9611 Arternatives
