PINE CONES Winter/Summer©

___________________

This is a watercolor of a (female) European Pine cone. ( Botanical: Strobilus)
The name cone derives from the fact that the shape resembles a geometric cone.
And that is what I personally like so much in this watercolor!

I painted 4 of them in seasonal colors.
Here are the Winter and the Summer version.

The blue purple one symbolizes WINTER, the hot Red Yellow one represents SUMMER.

Soon I'll download the Spring and Fall version.

___________________

Abstract watercolor on cold press heavy weight paper 140 LB (330 g/m2)

I painted this WINTER pine cone in two different sizes:
11' X 15' (27.9 X 8.1 CM)
and
18' X 24' (45.7 X 61 CM)
Ready to be framed.

The textured feeling in the top one is exciting and it makes such a unique abstract. I realy liked how you retained the pine cone feeling.

i've had enough of winter to last me 'tll next december 24th and yet this actually made me look forward( for a brief moment lol) to it once again. the sound of snow crunching under foot, the sterile crisp air, the miriads of stars glittering overhead.............. ok ,enough of that. i go marching ever so willingly into spring and all it has to offer.
