Solar Lightning

I used the petal of an orange rose, the color of a setting sun. I had taken some beautiful photos of roses, and just loved the colors of it. I decided to play around with textures, effects, elements, and manipulations of ust a petal until I created this 3-D fantasy design. It seemed to be waves of hot bursts of a sun, with the lightning streaking energy soaring out through space. I do know there are not such things, and that solar flares are not so fast to observe as our earthly lightning is. I've always been fascinated with solar flares and lightning, and how fast light travels across both space and sky. A summer fantasy dream of mine, a typical example of what happens when a color and idea catches my daydreaming eyes. I love that my art can help my daydreams come into being. A lovely summer memory to savor on a future bleak winter day.

Very nice colors and movement!

Artist Reply: Thanks Jerry! I found a texture look I liked for the depth, but wanted it to wave back. Thought it needed just a bit more tweeaing. Learning to do lightning bolts are interesting.

==I love this image... beautiful colors! Very Electrifying!==

Artist Reply: Thanks Olga! I'm glad you like this one! These take me more courage to explore and experiment in creating. I am begining to get the hang of letting my mind and eyes take over to work out the creation. It's a more freeing type of style to work with.

Artist Reply: Thanks Corry! Am enjoying trying new works that just evolve as I work. I know what I like, and when to keep going until it feels right. This one took some thought, so I waited a few weeks until I figured out what was missing.
