Dodgson's Dream

"Dodgson's Dream: Explanations take such a dreadful long time" is the actual title of this, based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Acrylic on canvas, with oil pastel, marker, paint pen and graphite. Carroll's real name was Charles Dodgson, and his image appears in the mirror falling with Alice. A very belated gift for my roommate Robin. Took 8 months working on and off, the most detailed piece i've ever done. I tried to incorporate many different scenes from the book, and other not-so-hidden references, like the zen caterpillar, and a floating bunny (from Wallace n Gromit). 36 inches by 24 inches. completed August 9 2006. copyright jeff ostrowski. i look foward to comments and any questions! thanks for taking the time to look. ( zooms and close-ups of all three parts added as separate images.)
