VERY LOVELY AND INTERESTING...CAN YOU EAT THEM? I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE.

Artist Reply: yes, both the fruit and the pulp of the leaves is edible...they grow wild here in Texas but this is a cultivated (landscaping) variety...the pulp from the leaves is especially good for diabetics as it helps regulate the blood sugar naturally.
