Parker & Doris Layman

This photo is of my Great Aunt, Doris, and my Great Uncle, Parker Layman. The painting they are holding is one that I did of them it was a collection of the various things that Parker had made or built for Doris. My uncle was a finish carpenter with a masters degree in education. He did teach school at one time but, prefered working with wood. Aunt Doris was an elementary school teacher. The painting disappeared sometime after my aunt died and before my uncle passed away. I have not seen the painting since this picture was taken. It depicts them on their property that was bordered by Little Deer Creek and Pipe Creek. Their home was across the road from a former resort area known as Pipe Creek Falls. It had been a mill at one time.
