I was very attracted to this sweet bird and the contrast of the light and texture of the scenery. Photographed March 2006 in Palm Desert

It's hard to decide whether I like the top photo or the close-up of this beautiful Mourning Dove the best. They both hold so much interest. In the top, it is framed by the beautiful green palm fronds, and in the bottom by the lacy dead leaves. Very nice, either way.Charlie Packnett 25 Mar 2006
