Artist Reply: Thank you for all your kind words, Lucia. The title of this work is Nani Moana, which translates from Hawaiian to "Beautiful Ocean." Moana is also a girl's name, and so because the girl is kind of smirking and happy, I thought of Mona Lisa and thought the girl was a kind Hawaiian style Mona Lisa.
