This is my cat Spaz, as he is usually, hogging the couch ( or chair). He isn't always a crazed cat fighting over his blanket (see another photo posted). He is now 14 years old, and a stray kitten we found while living in Hawaii. He now is a resident of Arizona, wherehe's happy as long as he has a place to snuggle up to sleep, food to eat, and gets petted when he demands it, which is often. He's quick to steal your seat if you get up for a moment, and bite you while trying to take it back. He weighs a ton, more muscle than fat, so puts up a good battle. Also known for sitting on my keyboard and blocing my monitor if I ignore him too much. Terrorizes the puppys we have, and has cornered them before and made them wait until he was made to let them out. (Shouldn't have let him see Garfield cartoons.)

Artist Reply: Thanks Christina! He's such a odd cat at times! He can barely squeak out a meow, sounds like a squeaky toy.If he put his gut into it, he'd roar like a lion. He is so fat and old, he forgets he can't jump up over an armchair like he used to. I have to lift him up sometimes. He's on a diet for now. Seems he was sneaking into the kitchen and chowing down dog food, the sneak. He waited until the dogs were outside and us asleep. He's been busted. I will stop his midnight kitchen dog food raids. I will be doing some more cat portraits soon. Spaz will be in a few.

Artist Reply: Thank you! Spaz is a sweetie and when he loves you, he adores you. For those he does not like, he is awful to. He is a stubborn cat and willing to fight you for a palce to sit. Trys to push you out of his way. He lands on you with a thud, he's heavy and solid. A quirky cat, but well loved. He's about to turn 14 this summer.

Artist Reply: Thank you! Seems I run my own pet rescue shelter! I've taken in more strays, adopted pets, and nursed quite a few back to health. This guy was so weak when we found him, didn't thnk he'd make it. Withing days he had enegey to start to play, and then some. He got his name Spaz for the hyperactac & moodqwinging. He does a mean hula with his belly when he tries to bat at laser point lights on the ceiling. Too funny to take a photo clear, all I do is laugh.

Artist Reply: Thank you! He thinks the counch, my computer chair, and my recliner chair are all his. He digs in and hunches down if I try to move him so I can sit down. WIll bit me too, grumpy cat. Makes up for it afterwards by being loving. He's even tried to sit on my head to move me out of the recliner chair when he wants it. He's a heavy cat!

Artist Reply: Than you! I think it goes back to the EgptianCats are Gods thing. This one, though you can't tell it from how he's laying, is a Eygptian Mau. He has spots on his back above his stripes. He has really pretty eyes as well.

Artist Reply: Thank you! This cat is loving to those he choses. Otherwise he's a teror. My grandson , now 10, is afraid of him. Spaz holds grudges forever. (Never forgave him for poking him with a pool noodle when he was in kindergarten.)

Artist Reply: Thank you! He was so hyper as a kitten, he earned the name Spaz. He would just go nuts and jump on your head or anything. Now to tubby, so results to biting or squishing you. He loves to steal potato chips.
