Engine 45, Fort Bragg, CA

The train and carriages here at Fort Bragg are known as The Skunk Train, on account of the smell which used to given off by the heating system which used to be used in the carriages. (Copyright watermark is for website display only, and does not appear on prints of this image).

I remember fishing in Fort Bragg at that lake next to the ocean and while there heard of this train. I'm told that train ride is fantastic and heads inland. Great picture and memory!

Artist Reply: Hi Jerry - thanks for your lovely comment! The ride inland really is just amazing; it travels through some lovely country. We've done it a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.
