a 16x20inch woodburning of a wild turkey. this one was created to be actioned off at the 2006 NWTF fundraiser. I put roughly 127 hours into this piece. i was not sure what i would do for the background untill i was about half way thru the burning then i decided to make the turkey in a cornfield. the colors where added using minwax water-based stains. i used the stains like u would normal paints , mixing them in empty babyfood jars to get the right color. i have been experementing with diffrent borders to souround the image and i am very happy with how this one turned out.
