Very nice work. You've capture the feeling of constant motion. The only image deserving of the top ten in the digital section today.

Artist Reply: Thank you for such nice comments! I will be adding a varitey of hummingbirds soon to my gallery.

Lovelly...looks like watercolor...

Artist Reply: Thank you! I like to use watercolr like brushes, such as just plain water. It lets me get a smoother blending, without the layering effect watercolor may do. I can use the water brush to blend mix media that you might not be able to do normally, but can using with computer art.

Great clearity, contrast, colors and mood!

Artist Reply: THank you! Clearity is something I like about using a wacom tablet & stylus. I have shakey hands at times so find the wireless stylus pen easier to hold than a real brush. (I don't spill or smear either.) Since I can undo a mistake, I can get more accurately what I wanted.

Both the hummingbird and the flowering plant are very realistic. Excellent work!

Artist Reply: Thank you Cher! Sometimes I use different styles while painting hummingbirds & florals. I like to play up the colors and background to add to the mood.

Hanna Stawska 13 Feb 2006

very impressive...so really looking....love the motion...

Artist Reply: Thanks so much! Hummers are challening to decide to do a still shot or blur the wings. I do both, but like to see the details sometimes to appreciate the beauty of the bird's body.

Artist Reply: Thanks Nelly! I'll be trying to do a series of hummingbirds. I found out there are about 300 species around the world! That will keep me busy for a while!
