Twilight Fairy

This was painted on a small canvas board, it started as a purple background with no plans for it to go anywhere. I thought the sky looked illuminated, as if it were lit by a full moon just hours before sunrise. It only seemed suitable for such a docile mythical being to be resting peacefully by a still pond; and i've always just liked fairies, as many people with overactive imaginations do :)
