Against the Wind

This was painted from a photo my sister gave me of her friend and son. We both just loved the photo and I couldn't resist the painting.

nice composition. I would bump up the contrast, but I guess that might depend on what you are trying to achieve.

Artist Reply: Actually I agree with you on the contrast. My big problem was that I kept running out of skin tone that I had mixed and when I mixed another batch it wouldn't match quite right and I nevre did get a really dark tone that looked good. Otherwise I would have definately put in more contrast on the arms and face.
