Her beautiful expression says to me she's satisfied and happy with life by learning from her experiences, both good and bad. I see that slight smile in her eye and the corner of her mouth.

It's great how you have immersed her in the background as though in her thoughts. The depth of your images, Juan, goes far beyond the page. It leads to much contemplation.

Juan this is fantasic Once again you take us deep into your artwork, very thought provoking for most woman I am sure , as we go through many changes throughout our lives,Excellent work with superb detail :)

David Holcombe 10 Jan 2006

You concentrate on the elements that make this woman a person. Your pencil seems to sculpt the face from the paper. There is sensuality and a certain sadness here. The pillow on either side offers some negative space that increases the intensity of the woman's face. We feel as if we can fall into this woman's pupil and be lost.

Alberto D'Assumpcao 10 Jan 2006

Roger Anderson 09 Jan 2006

Another amazing work Juan. I always look at your art and am inspired by it...you are able to do on such a small scale what so many others strive for on any scale.....fantastic work.

Linda Mason 09 Jan 2006

Your pencil, applied very artisticly, has rendered upon the white page, a dramatic dipiction of raw emotion. The strokes are bold and dark. Deep and harsh. They depict raw emotion. The glance of the eyes and the mouth, parted as an invitation, show passion.

joan warburton 09 Jan 2006
