native american girl portrait painted on a 12"by14"inch porcelain tile with oil based china paints and fired between layers six time at 820 degrees centigrade to get this finished piece. she was painted from an old dark blurry black and white photo the colors and the blancket are from my imagination. there was just something about her eyes that drew me to paint her. hope you enjoy Rainbow

beautiful work, Alex. And I thought there was always problems controlling how the colors turn out after firing. Was I wrong about this? You obviously had no problems with this piece....Anonymous Guest 13 Jan 2006

Great intensity in the eyes. In a portrait, the eyes are the only thing which can make a face stand out and meaningfull, the eyes are the soul, they say.geri pratt 06 Jan 2006

Wonderful. I really like the little details, the wisps of hair just peeking over the clothing, the texture of the jacket, and the look in her eyes.Sherly J 05 Jan 2006
