This was commissioned as a 82 birthday gift for the client's father. This was from a photo taken in 1949 that was highly contrasted and very difficult to work from. The eyes and the eyebrows were barely visible. The subject is such a fair blond with the palest blue eyes that they did not appear in the photo. It was a stunning photo, even if it was a difficult draw.
