Angel Rays

Inspired by a movie titled "Evelyn" (an old movie) I decided to finally do a holiday piece placing in something I normally don't do.....houses! Its simple, but more about concept than visual appeal.

Greetings Sara! I want to thank you for bringing love and truth to art in a pure and spiritual way. Images and messages such as these are always needed in our world, at least in my thoughts they are. Great art is about bringing truth, light and love to the world. I see that here. Too many images flash upon the scenes of life that are false and degarding...You have brought the goodness of the heart and that is a glorious blessing. Love for all times and seasons...ever CB

excellent rendering calls for a story do you have one in mind?

Artist Reply: Well it already has a story which inspired me. The story is this little girl's father, Desmond, is fighting to keep her and get her out of an irish orphenage. When he goes to trial she is placed up on the stand. While she's up there rays of sun come in through the window and she says she's not scared anymore because her grandfather is there with her. Her grandfather passed away a few months before and always told her that the rays, when you can really see them, from the sun are angels shining down on you. Hand to paint it!!! I cried! :P

Well, I think it carries both concept and visual appeal nicely. I like your character very much. The background turned out quite nicely. Makes it more real. And the hilltop view as well as the dove make it all surreal, like she's larger than life in her own way. Outstanding work. Beautiful use of colors, warm and cool. I can see that it's cold but the feeling right here is warm and fuzzy. :D Well done.
