Low Tide and Muddy River

When the tide goes out, the rivers draining into the Bay of Fundy drop significantly. Here, a small river in New Brunswick is reduced to a muddy stream. I first tried photographing the twilight colours reflecting in the mud ten years before in Nova Scotia. On my recent visit to the East Coast I hoped to find a similar situation. After running around in the grass and mud, I finally found a view over the goopy sediments of this river. I didn't use any filters this time, though a split neutral density filter might have been good. No other colour manipulation was done. The film is Fujichrome Vlevia 50.

I am from New Brunswick and watched the tide come in one day...it was wonderful! Where I saw it was in Moncton...and it was beautiful to witness...this is another incredible photograph!
